Mani Pavuluri Interview

Hi Listerners, this is Rosetta Wood from Daily Spark.

Welcome to another episode of Daily Spark.

Today on our show we have a very interesting guest with an exceptional research and clinical background in brain behavior. I am proud to introduce Mani Pavuluri MD, PHD.

She is director of Pediatric Mood Disorders Program and associate professor in psychiatry at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She is the author of the book titled “What Works for Bipolar Kids”.

Bipolar disorder is a mental condition marked by alternating periods of manic, euphoric mood and major depressive mood.

Dr. Pavuluri is named as the Best Doctor, Top Doctor and Top Psychiatrist by her peers and consumers in USA.

Her scientific work is a trailblazer for how we understand brain circuitry function and medication effects on the brain function in mood disorders such as bipolar disorder and ADHD through functional magnetic neuroimaging technology.

We Teach by Tom Herner

If a child doesn’t know how to read, we teach.
If a child doesn’t know how to swim, we teach.
If a child doesn’t know how to multiply, we teach.
If a child doesn’t know how to drive, ride his bike, we teach.
If a child doesn’t know how to behave, we…….teach?……..punish?

Why can’t we finish the last sentence as automatically as we do the others?

Dr. Pavuluri gracefully shares with us the techniques she uses to help and teach children with behavior problems bipolar disorders using a process called Rainbow Therapy. These techniques will be of great value to children, teachers, parents and caregivers.

Listeners, lets join her as she begins!
